Depends on the scholarship situation. He came as a walk-on. Thought he was used way more than expected.

Maybe that created an expectation to continue the trend but was told the original plans would be more accurate next year. Hard to say. When you get to seriously adding up scholarships, there are tough decisions to be made. Hopefully BYU isn't making difficult things more difficult through a poor delivery. Need to get better at that if it's the case.

Doesn't have to be. It is that way for all NCAA sports. Unless the school offers says 4-years. Most are 1 year.
