Probably. It's part of the recruiting game.

There's always the last scholarship on the bench. Beo fits that profile. You don't run a kid just to run a kid....again, we are assuming that's what happened. Maybe Beo is a jerk and a cancer to the team. Dave would have cause to not renew his scholarship, but there are worse players on the team than Beo.

Doesn't have to be. It is that way for all NCAA sports. Unless the school offers says 4-years. Most are 1 year.
