The Church has decided how much it'll invest in the program. If fans want more, then they'll need to donate to make it happen. This is the same thing that happens at other programs.

I'm telling you from personal experience that BYU fans could do significantly more to support the program. Based on what I've seen (and experienced) at other programs, BYU fans are on the "cheap" side of things. This is most likely because of a difference in priorities for BYU fans (as has been mentioned in previous post in this thread), but let's not expect the Church to do something that BYU fans should do themselves.
