Why do you think that the Church hasn't ponied up?
Without the Church's investment there would be no BYU...
Without the Church's facilities, there would be no place for BYU athletics. The Church has and continues to make significant investments in the athletics programs (to the tune of marginal cost = marginal benefit).
If the fans want more, then that's on them... (just like at other programs). Are you a member of the CC? If we get enough fans like you donating to the program, then resources will improve.
