or a dinner reservation so they call for a c-section? The stats that show there are more c-sections at the hospital would indicate to me that the doctors believe at that point in the delivery that it is the lowest risk alternative and just because a birth turns out ok without a c-section doesn’t mean that the c-section wasn’t the best thing to have done anyway.
Trying to say that it is because of the impatience of the doctors is maligning these men and women and is unwarranted and honestly lame.
And the “monitoring” you’re talking about is mostly done by the nurses just informing the doctors where things stand in the labor.
