That's what I'm trying to figure out.
I thought he 1st said they had better outcomes now it seems he's narrowed it down to having less c-sections, which is not the same as better outcomes.
Meanwhile we have a 2016 study saying mortality is higher for midwives. So I'm trying to pin him down that his only argument is in fact that they lead to less c-sections and not necessarily that they have "better" outcomes. That is if your most preferred outcome is a live baby.
