hear it all the time. To me it sounds like you are admitting that if something goes wrong you are admitting that the midwife can't handle it. So why not go to someone that can handle anything? Seems like it's just an anti modern medicine thing.

we had a scare on one of ours. not sure a birthing center would have given us similar positive outcome. Too risky IMO
