I agree, and I'm glad most hospitals are practicing appropriately these days.

I'm an epidemiologist, and worked in this area a couple years back. I've published a little bit in this area using using national datasets (e.g., birth certificate data, PRAMS, MES from Canada) and you can see the trends changing quite a bit with those datasets.

we had a scare on one of ours. not sure a birthing center would have given us similar positive outcome. Too risky IMO
