According to the article, Utah made $21.2 million in revenue over the last year. I had a hard time finding last year's numbers, but I did find a site that referenced $14.7 million for the year prior. That $7 million difference is probably the result of the 50% share in PAC-12 revenue that the Utes are making in 2012-13. Unfortunately, I can't find a breakdown anywhere to prove that.
Utah goes to 75% next year and then 100% the year after. That should equate to $8 million more per year based on the TV deal with Fox/ESPN and that doesn't take into account a single dollar from the PAC-12 network. So Utah should be around $30 million in 2 years + any money generated by the PAC-12 Network.
The BiG teams made $7 million each in 2011 and they only own 49% of their network (vs. 100% for the PAC). I don't think it's unreasonable to project a $10 million revenue per team within 2-3 years.
By the way, this isn't meant to be smack. I just wanted to highlight the difference in BCS conference money and non-BCS conference money. If my memory serves me correctly, the Utes generated between $1-2 million with their deal with the MWC.
