I agree the series has been close the last 10 years

or put more correctly, Utah has owned us (tiz a puzzlement to me). I believe Utah and BYU have similar overall records over the last 10 years.

My point (similar to you in that I don't have time to look stuff up, since work or school does play a small part of our daily lives) is that when looking at recognizability, national profile, national following,etc. those identifiers are all tilted (I would say significantly) in BYU's favor.
