I see as much research coming out of BYU as I do Utah, med school excepted.
And I find the academic argument laughable. My son just took the ACT, and he had results sent to both BYU and Utah. At the bottom of his results it lists stats for each school. At BYU the average incoming freshman graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. At Utah, the average incoming freshman graduated in the top 50 percent of his class. I hear Utah is just now starting to implement some acceptance criteria. Utah has no edge in academics. Don't fall for the hype.
