BYU is very different even than other religious schools
If you look at the Boards of Trustees/equivalent of other religious schools, they are made up of half or more non-religious people. BYU's BoT is completely LDS Church leaders. Add in the lack of academic freedom at BYU and it is very different than other schools. Certainly the schools in the P12.
There is no denying this. I find it strange that people shout how different BYU is but can't accept that some of these differences may not be looked at favorably by some people.
