1) If you remember in that game, Utah had gotten up by a couple of scores. My wife's great uncle had great seats on the west sideline, maybe 30 rows up on the 20 yard line that he couldn't use. I think BYU had just turned it over. There was some obnoxious Ute lineman who stood up on the benches and started yelling at the crowd "Why aren't you cheering for your team! That's your team out there, why are you guys so quiet?! Cheer on your team!"

2) A little while later, there was some Utah lineman who had beaten the BYU lineman on a block, had pancaked him, was sitting on his chest and ripped his helmet off and was shoving his head into the ground. Refs didn't see it because it was at least 30 yards away from the play, but we all saw it, and the BYU sideline saw it. Several players said that this is what fired them up for the comeback.

After both of those situations, watching Staley run it down the far sideline for the game-winning touchdown was a euphoria that I can't describe.

The funny thing is that I was an occasional Utah fan prior to that point. In fact the week before, my buddy had tickets to the Utah-Wyoming game and I even wore red to it. We helped start the chant to put Lance Rice in the game. But yeah, never since and never again.
