Yes, to back up this point. I talked about the ONE experience that was the straw
that broke the camels back for me. My family has gone to every BYU vs Utah game, home and away, since I was a young kid. My family has had MANY bad experiences. Not recently but in the late 90s/ early 00s we’ve heard, “F your prophet”. My Dad has had someone in the urinals lean over and look at him while he’s been using the bathroom and make comments. My pregnant sister had a drunk man get in her face and invade her personal space and curse at her as we walked into the stadium. I wasn’t there for that one but my Dad had to step in front and make sure she was safe (who gets in the face of a women, let alone a pregnant women?) During the Alex Smith days we’ve had also alcohol bottles thrown at us. Im not sure why, we were getting killed and not cheering or saying anything.

This isn’t even to mention all of the MANY awful things that have been yelled at us walking to and from RES and sitting inside that stadium with those low life fans.

And in all of these experiences never has a Ute fan intervened and called out the poor behavior of their fellow fans. So I roll my eyes when it’s stated these bad fans are a small minority. If that’s the case why is the good majority so good at being quiet and turning a blind eye to all of this vitriol?

Point being if you go to one game there odds are something negative will happen to you. But if you go to many games up there over a long time span you’ll truly see who that fan base is and what they represent. They are a truly awful bunch.
