Both parents are BYU alums, and they passed on BYU fandom to their kids. I was wearing my fandom proudly on campus while going to school. Yes, I know, not the smartest move in the first place. But I spent the time I was either going to class or in between classes listening to people tell me how abusive and evil mormons are and how BYU breeds hate toward anyone who isn't mormon. I didn't really care what they thought, but it was from about 930 until I got off the train at about 330 on the way home. It was at that day that I realized that there is a large portion of the UofU student body and fanbase that has real trouble being reasonable about anything. I finished that year that Utah, then transferred out.
