Kids BYU coat and were throwing it around. We got the coat back, when the game was over a group of utes surrounded us and were really ticked at us. We were no question cheering pretty loudly for a great win.
At that game there was someone holding up garments on a pole. There was a blow up doll being thrown around labeled something about BYU. And there was a lot of " f...Mormons" being yelled.
Some guy threw a cup of what I think was soft drink and ice on us.
There were several really clean cut looking 30 year olds who were really mocking us making all sorts of mocking references to church. That surprised. I had never heard what I assumed were members mocking members before. It was really odd.
We were surrounded by a big group and some guy that was drunk punched me from behind on the side of my head. Then it all went wild. My brother grabbed me and pulled me out of the center of it.
The Police sorted it out and in the end two of them were arrested and charged with assault. They ended up pleading guilty so there was no trial.
I will never go back to RES.
