selves knows that there are ALUFs who aren't bad people. And yeah, you shouldn't have to bear the brunt of all of it. I do have plenty of my own stories...100% true experiences that mirror some of the bad stuff folks are throwing out here. I know personally folks who literally hate BYU because of the church affiliation. It's real. It happens.

The U, as a fan base, does have a lot of bad players, so to speak. I don't feel like you have to apologize for them. You're a fan that loves your team. Having gone to an undergrad school that didn't have a rival, I can tell you that BYU and Utah need each other as rivals. You need to have someone to hate....in a sports sense. An arch enemy, a nemesis...a bad guy.

For us, it's you...the Utes...the Hill...the ugly U. And we need that. But don't apologize for fans you don't know. Just enjoy your team. And look...you're brave for being here. I commend you for that. There are a lot of us on here who are less vocal who enjoy banter and there isn't any mean-spirited intent behind it.
