The problem with your apology is the implied, "Yeah, but"
This is the message you just sent:
"I apologize that some isolated fans did that, it was awful, but it is not typical behavior."
"While I apologize, you guys do it too."
Those really aren't the apologies you think they are. They are justifications and minimizations.
Yes, it really is typical Ute fan behavior, unfortunately. And while you can find poor behavior in both fan bases, your implication that they are at the same level is way, way off the mark.
