I recognize this was a personal thing and that the honor code is great for a lot of people, but for me as an RM I hated feeling like I was in this bubble where many of my choices were already made for me. Not that I was looking for trouble in any sense, but I felt no sense of pride/achievement in living the gospel and making right choices. I'm grateful for my BYU education, but I wasn't a fan of the environment at all. Not trying to say the honor code is bad or should be done away with, I think it serves a great purpose, but It's not for everyone. I totally understand if a kid feels the way Kirby describes.
