Exhibit A for why a good LDS kid would say the heck with BYU
This pretentious attitude is precisely what many LDS can't stand about BYU. If you don't like our culture and our almighty Code, then you must not be up to snuff. It's haughty bull yewt.
I don't blame people one bit for not liking BYU when I see comments like this and many others on this thread. My only come back is that the great majority of people I knew at BYU weren't so into their own obedience and/or condescending towards people who didn't think like them.
