The HC like the commandments teach us a higher law to live our lives by. The atmosphere at a school like BYU should be just what a clean living boy or girl should want. When I attended the Y after attending UCSD I was grateful to be around like minded students and faculty. It wasn't easy following all the HC requirements but somehow I managed and finally met my sweetheart and started a family the Lord's way. I loved my Y experience and also enjoyed UCSD but for different reasons.
Good luck to this young man and I hope where ever he ends up that he keeps his baptismal covenants.
