I am one of the data points in your table so I understand your point very well.
But your assertion that BYU needs to do better at increasing the number of minority students simply for the sake of diversifying the student body is ludicrous. How about we understand the underlying data before telling BYU what it needs to do.
If you were to ask me, there probably needs to be more support at the high school level in order to increase the ethnicity of the student body. SOAR is one of those programs designed to ensure that minority students are adequately prepared to succeed at BYU. Expanding on those programs would be better than simply adding more "color" to the numbers.
