Not condemning BYU. Love BYU. We can do better.
You are blinded to simple reason. Fine.

Will just respond again to your nonsense:

First of all my premise is that Native American and Pacific Islander enrollment has been dropping at BYU. Compare the numbers to the overall enrollment numbers. This is indisputable. Yes, you are welcome to admit your are wrong... somehow I suspect you lack that ability.

Secondarily, you either buy in to the idea that BYU has had, our should have a special affinity/kinship with Native Americans and Pacific Islanders. Also a responsibility to minority members in general. I have been in meetings with those in authority at BYU who claim this is true and that this is a goal.

If you don't agree with this, you will almost certainly disagree with everything else I'm saying. If you agree with it, I'm simply pointing out that over the last 12 - 15 years it would seem that BYU has done a poor job of accomplishing that goal. This is purely an opinion/values based assessment.

Third, you can "spin" the population numbers anyway you want leap to whatever conclusion you want to I suppose. You just proved that. The point I was making is a simple one. BYU Pacific Islander numbers have been dropping. The Pacific Islander population in Utah has exploded. In the Tongan population alone there are 29 wards now and 3 stakes in Utah... just think about that. Apparently you don't think it's reasonable to expect that you would see some sort of uptick in BYU enrollment in the face of that change in demographic. Whatever dude.

I'm no less guilty of cherrypicking facts to make a point than you are. So let's hear you outline your conclusions. Are you seriously trying to argue that everything is just fine, Native Americans and Pacific Islanders are over-represented at BYU. Okay just go with that. Talk about delusional.
