Forgot to mention recruiting
That was huge - how many 4* lds kids weren’t even remotely interested in BYU primarily because they or their family had been alienated by Bronco? Too many.
It was evident when Bronco left and quite a few big name recruits suddenly had interest.
I’m not saying he was a bad coach - because that’s not the case. Just that his personality rubbed a lot of people the wrong way - and that put limitations on the program.
