Last year's success (also 4 games where they won in OT or on a last second
play, could have just as easily been a bowless team) was due to cultural carryover. Your Crowton analogy is a good one. Several good seniors and the remnants of the previous culture carried over. Same with Virginia last year. Year 2 is a much better indicator of a coach, Many more examples prove this point than disprove it.
