at the start of the interviews just to mess with them. They were very antagonistic toward BYU and any member. It is worse now than ever. I know that the U President has had a visit from the legislature about it stating the local residents are tax payers and BYU grads need more spots. The U President is in a tough spot with the historical issues that have been going on for years. I keep hearing about friends BYU kids in med school at other places who are consistently at the top in their class. My daughter is top in her first year of grad school and Utah would not even invite her for an interview. Her BYU, mission, and language background prepared her to thrive at any program and she consistently gets mentioned as being highly prepared.
