knowledge that there was a bias against BYU grads at the med school. I took some good natured ribbing at the hospital but nothing like what you see in undergrad areas. You definitely knew not to bring up the church or missions in some quarters. Fortunately most of the people I worked with were members, so we were fairly insulated. I grew up in Salt Lake so knew the drill.
It still amazes me that the people whose taxes pay for the place are selected against. I want the smartest most competent guy cutting on me, not someone who is only there because they fill some artificial box to make the powers that be feel good about themselves.
