The U of U med school has an unusual approach. My interview day there was by far the least impressive of my interview days. I was being recruited by other schools. U of U seemed to be disinterested in the process. They had a quota for BYU students and had no urgency to look good or impress. But this wasn’t just that I was a BYU student- this applied somewhat to everyone.
My experience has been that the people accepted to the U of U from BYU were not the top students. The U of U has their own criteria.
