orientation is not a choice, at least for most people. These are the beliefs that generally cause a commotion when it comes to LGBT, at least in the recent past.

There was a time when controversial beliefs had more to do with electroshock therapy and with whether or not sodomy should be a crime, but those days are further in the past, at least in the US.
