Imagine sending your young child to elementary school where the administration openly states:
“The administration will not openly bully your child, however, if the other children bully your kid it’s not on us.” As being any superior to a school that says,
“You must agree to abide by our rules and regs or we will discipline you, sometimes harshly, but man our students are really nice and will accept you and listen to you.”
It’s disingenuous. Like the poll question. And many of the comments here selectively choosing topics to support their pre-conceived notions.
The poll would’ve been better to ask, “What’s more important tolerating differing beliefs or differing lifestyles?” But even that is too narrow.
