Yes there are some good players each year in Utah.  I do agree a major problem is that the best talent in Utah no longer stays in Utah, but I was trying to not go down that rabbit hole as thats a whole different discussion.  

What I'm more trying to say is that because there are so many people/competition in other states, good quality kids are forgotten and not recruited by BYU.  If these same kids were in Utah they may be all-state and get offers, but in other states they are bypassed because they do not have the accolades.  Many of the best players in the past decades were lower tier recruits from out of state that were simply looked over by other schools because they didnt have the accolades.  BYU needs to place their recruiting efforts in finding more of these kids tht are underrrated because they are small fish in a big pond.
