This is the exact problem. Just because a youth team is good, does not mean
the team consists of amazing players. Just because a high school team wins a state championship doesn't mean all their best players should go D1. BYUs tendency is to recruit these players that have been on successful HS teams in Ut because of this HS success, but it has not panned out.
What I'm saying is BYU needs to go after the Jamaal Williams of the nation. Kids that weren't necessarily highly recruited because their teams weren't great, but that were still very talented.
BYU loves the state champion, all-state Ut players, but awards can be deceving and there are much more talented kids that don't have the accolades.
