This is a dumb take. Sorry. Just dumb.
Yes BYU has had some great athletes from out-of-state. But, both BYU and Utah have had many share of in-state recruits who have proven to be pretty dang good.
Riddle me this batman: if Utah athletics was so piss poor, and Cali so ungodly good, why does USC, UCLA, Berkeley, and Stanford ALL recruit Utah high school athletes?
