BYU recruiting strategy
Has always been and will always be...
1. Target top local Utah talent.
2. Target top LDS talent.
3. Fill in with lower star "under the radar" players who can qualify academically, follow honor code and will get more playing time here than elsewhere
3 is where you find some variation. Do you find these guys in Utah? Not likely, because if they are good in Utah they will be all state. But you can find them in CA, TZ, FL, or in case of basketball international.
Our talent suffers because Nos 1 and 2 are tougher and tougher for BYU to get.
