I wouldn't take it personal
As mentioned in this thread, these coaches do get a number of emails. I'm sure Rockwood is aware of your daughter. As one poster said, many times these coaches though have their favorites. Also, these coaches have head high school coaches and club coaches feeding them info on top recruits that they are coaching.

Look at Ed Eyestone. It's pretty incredible to see the number of American Fork Highschool grads on his roster. But you look at Timo's program at AF and he's consistently won state championships, year after year after year. So why wouldn't he trust that coach and his
methods if he's had success with past AF grads at his program? If you don't play for one of those programs in high school you won't
get the attention. It's not fair, but look there are some great programs out there outside BYU.

Here's the reality, YES, finding a mate at one of these other NCAA schools might be more of a challenge. I've never understood the culture that all these kids have to be married before they are 22 or 23. Look at it this way, maybe your girl could go to one of these other schools which offered her a scholarship, get two years under her belt, then go on a mission. Come back and decide if she wants to play still and where then if she's still excited about Soccer walkon at BYU with two years of NCAA D1 experience. They'd probably give her a partial
just to come at that point, especially if she excelled at another school. They do it ALL THE TIME in basketball.

This hysteria and yes its hysteria of were my freshman is going to school is just crazy! Honestly, if there is a good JC send her there and let her be the star on that team. Get the two years paid completely (no partials) because JC's can give out the full scholarships. Then see where it goes from there.
