outside of being a high school football HC in the south. The "pay" that is given to most other HS coaches is usually pennies compared to the number of hours they put in. That said, most HS coaches welcome all the help they can get, and usually that is in the form of mom's helping run fund raisers and managing team needs, while dads step in and help coach.

Now, the trick is managing the dad helpers. Good coaches do it well and the dads know to keep their mouths shut unless spoken to. Bad coaches get walked all over.
