Kids need a break. Part of college is fun, relaxing, learning to be social. This all huge for their development in the real world. Huge for mental health.

So you think everyone should have a chance to play so only do intramural sports? Based on your comments you feel kids should soon study when not sleeping, no need to be social?

I would not hire a kid with few social skills, huge factor. Churning numbers and doing the work is commoditized. We need more social and leaders. Those skills aren’t developed student calculus all Saturday. Key employees are well rounded.

Look at key academic institutions. Extracurriculars are huge.
