I'm not sure that qualifies as "getting rid of". It's more like, "Oh, you're ready to retire? Okay, guess I'd better find a new head coach." That was just him getting lucky.
Really, the only coaches Holmoe seems to like firing are nationally renowned ones that win national championships at multiple schools or ones that are given an impossible task along with no margin for error. Kinda sad.
