Bronco gave you 11 seasons of which 5 had records of 10 wins or more; only 2 with less than 8 wins. Reaction? Off with his head.
To the almost unanimous cheers of CB Sitaki comes in, and the coliseum crowd's blood lust additionally demands and gets Detmer for OC...forget he has no experience. But fickle be thy name... now Holmoe is declared an incompetent for responding to CB.
An unprecedented implosion?
Holmoe has been here for 14 years. During that time football has had 5 ten+ win seasons; with only 4 seasons with less than eight wins.
The previous 14 years (Edwards/Crowton)? 3 seasons with 10+ wins and 7 seasons with less than eight wins.
Oh, plus a "top 30" overall athletic program.
Basketball...a coach who had one of the best active coach records in college basketball...until 4 years ago. Four years seems to me to be warranted to recover for a coach of Rose's stature but, when he didn't, he was replaced. That's what the AD is supposed to do, work with the guy who revived your program but, after a suitable time, move him out. Do you think Pope is a flukey replacement?
