national championship matches in the last handfull of years. Sure they lost, but that was the first time ever for the women, and the men were came up short in the title match twice.  Track and Field, Cross Country, Women's Soccer, softball, etc., have had really good success. I don't think baseball has been worse under Holmoe.  I don't follow swimming and diving, so I cannot speak to those.  If you are only looking at national titles, good luck, you are ignoring a lot of success and probably some improvement in some cases over what happened before Holmoe. 

I don't know how much of the football and basketball issues are attributable to the changing landscape of big money (power 5) athletics, and how much is Holmoe.  I think our challenges are probably more attributable to the former, but there is no way to prove it either way.  For all we know, things could have been much worse with someone else at the helm under the circumstances. Or maybe Holmoe is the primary problem as many here want to say ... Regardless, the selective memory of our history or focus on only certain metrics is not a fair or accurate way to evaluate things.
