Travel baseball for my son was a lot of fun. He loved it and made a lot of good friends. Many of which he’s still
close with even into high school.
Now in high school if you were to ask him what was more fun travel ball or high school ball he’d tell you travel ball without hesitation.
The competition within our city rec was terrible. Travel ball was the only good option.
His experience was great. As parents our experience was great too. The friends we do things with now are the same parents we sat at the ballpark with all those years. They’re our closest friends.
He played three sports all the way up through his freshman year of high school.
He was never told he had to specialize.
His sophomore year though he did drop basketball to spend more time on the other two sports. It was the high school basketball coach that put pressure on him.
He still plays two sports.
Our travel ball experience was nothing but positive.
The same could be said for my daughter’s experience with softball.

My kid's best friends are his teammates. My friends are the teammates parents. My kid loves to compete with his friends
