Californias great year round weather and unusual population density definitely affords more options for people. Imagine

gearing up for baseball season around the wasatch front from December to April. If you’re not on a “travel team” you don’t have access to indoor facilities that allow you to at least pitch, hit and do some infield work.

I wish it weren’t this extreme in Utah but I can’t watch rec baseball in my community — it really is that bad.
