For most sports is pretty much over. Once kids are in high school they either play for the school or not at all and they’re meeting a lot of new people and around junior or senior year they actually starting to think about college and a career.

Sports don’t take up the entirety of most kids lives and personalities either. They hang out with friends and go to school etc.

Even most non athletes don’t really start thinking about that stuff till that time too. I don’t think it makes a big difference after junior high.
