brutal these days that yes you have that pressure to get on these teams that are being created at 8-9 years old for even HS. I'd wager that the majority of parents pushing their kids into this is to give them a shot at playing HS and hopefully college.
And what's sad is when these super league teams assembled at 8-9 years old end up getting to HS, half of those kids have burned out and the other half have their spots taken by open enrollment recruits anyways.
That's what I see IMO.
Most parents don't love spending half their lives hauling these kids around to endless tournaments without thinking they are giving them the best chance to succeed. Some do, yes, and they are a rare breed.
