Gordon B Hinkley's frequent admonition to "Be Loyal to the Church"....

"Be loyal to the Church......Never do anything which would speak of disloyalty in any sense"

Be loyal to the faith.....Be loyal to the Church of Jesus Christ, and in so doing, you will be loyal to yourselves"

"Be loyal to this Church, my brothers and sisters"

"Be loyal to the Church under all circumstances"


I'm NOT a BYU alum, I'm a UW grad, but I AM LDS and I AM loyal to the Church, always have been. I stand for it and defend it. BYU IS the face of the Church in higher education and the face of the Church in the sporting world. I could no more bash BYU, root against BYU, or disparage BYU, than I could bash, root against, bad mouth the Brethren.....

This is my honest feeling......I'm saddend by LDS yewt fans who bash BYU the same way I'm saddend by LDS who fall away or into serious sin.

LDS who bash BYU are not loyal to the Church, IMO.......
