They thought they were so much better than the other two? Doesn't every perennial top 25 team expect to go out and win every Saturday? TCU was to be 1 or their top 2 toughest games all year, everyone new that. Did they expect to win? Yes. That makes them hate worthy? I don't get that at all. Max Hall's quote means he's a competitor. We went up against a team we expected to beat and got pummled (sp?). We're obviously not as good as we thought we were. What is wrong with that?

Do you have ANY other evidence of this arrogance other than it you say it enough on utefan eventually you'll believe it? Poor game plan? Yes. Poor coaching? Yes. Was TCU the better team that year? Yes. But you don't know that till you play. The arrogance issue from a player and coaching perspective is such conjecture and without merit that it boggles my mind. Arrogance from fans? Yes (but don't all teams have those fans?)

The only 3 reasons for hating BYU that hold ANY water are 1) because they win and 2) those fools who like to make themselves feel better about themselves after a BYU loss to Utah (whether it be on the field or off), by bringing up the 2 people they know who tried to get into BYU and didn't and now hate "Zoobies." and 3) those fools who think you have to root for BYU to be a good mormon (by the way, LIFI who started this thread did not say a good mormon must root for BYU, he only said a good mormon shouldn't disparage BYU, big difference).

Well to those that hate BYU because of "those" fans, don't worry, when their kid doesn't get into BYU because they only had a 3.5 and 27 on the ACT, you'll have your revenge.
