How many active LDS, temple recommend holding memebers say they "hate" BYU athletics?

My question is simple then. Are the Utah fans who "hate" BYU worse than the BYU fans who "hate" Utah?

Aren't you going to hold the evolved, enlightended, and more knowlegable (in a spritual sense) BYU fan accountable? Afterall, if the football team is an extention of the Church isn't the loyal active member fan base as well? There seem to be plenty of BYU fans who claim to "hate" Utah. Shouldn't they know better? Turn the other cheek?

Are you starting to see the cracks and flaws in the original logic?

Further more, stereotyping Utah fans, in general, into that category is simply wrong.

I think it more likely that BYU end sports before they say LDS fans are sinning if they hate BYU sports.

Trust me, they aren't going to end Sunday School, but they may end sports. Look at Ricks. Gone. (I don't think they are anywhere near ending sports by the way, just saying sports is superfelous)

It is fans like the original poster of the thread that drive some Utah fans nuts and push them away.

Let's separate Church and sport. They are not the same. Period. He/she, claims otherwise. It is a very poor logic thread.

Again, BYU football, is not the Church. I know this may come as a surprise as well, but Bronco is not a GA either. As good a person as he is.

By the way, there are BYU fans who say they 'hate' Utah. Whittingham is an active member, Sitake, Aaron Roderick (actually not only are they members, they went to, played for and coached at BYU), and others. Many of the team are members and several are RMs.

Utah fan or BYU fan, I think the 'hate' part is the real sin (not the fake sin). Cheering against a football team is not. Whoever they may be affiated with.

The U of U was founded by Brigham Young too. The U of U boasts the largest Institue of Religion in the world as well. (yes the Mormon one) Soooooo......... Pot and Kettle??????
