Your argument: People say mean things about USU (almost universally) on this board, therefore they USU kids should be able to say mean things about BYU without being accused of being bad members. Fair enough.

My argument: It's clear that most people don't believe that you can't criticize BYU and be a good member. Yet many fans of other schools will latch onto a few posters supporting this idea and say that everyone believes it is the case.

I'm sure I'm just myopic and narrow-minded and affected by the "bubble" but I don't see how the Collie comments are that big of a deal. If Notre Dame said that following a Boston College game, I don't think anyone would be up in arms. I probably wouldn't have said it myself, but I think that's a dumb quote to get bend out of shape about.
