The stereotype is real
In my small sample size. Of every family member, inlaw and friend I have known that went to UU or USU. They all wanted to go to BYU and got rejected. All of them. Then they became bitter in varying degrees. This includes a bro in law, sis in law, several cousins, and many friends (actually I did have one friend that didn't get into buy and went to uu who still rooted for BYU. Of course he was a hardcore sports fan and knew that you just don't grow up rooting for a team and swith on a dime. From North Carolina).
