Reality check here people
Um, I don't want to burst anyones bubble, but It's not like BYU would be dominating the Mountain West Conference as it currently exists. This year BYU would have finished toward the bottom of the pack. last year BYU would have finished maybe in 3rd or 4th place. BYU possibly could have won the Mountain West in 2015. In 2014 BYU had losses to three Mountain West Teams including Nevada and USU maybe finishing 5th or 6th place. I just don't understand why you think BYU is better than the Mountain West. I'm sorry, but the Mountain West, talentwise, is right where BYU belongs. BYU would be lucky to win the conference 1 in 5 years.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
